I finally made it out to The Rouxpour Restaurant & Bar and I’m telling you right now—this spot does NOT miss. We ordered the Texas Redfish and the Salmon Lafitte, and both plates came out looking like something straight off a chef’s tasting menu. The Texas Redfish was the standout—perfectly blackened with a bold, smoky flavor, then topped with shrimp, spinach, mushrooms, and tomato in a rich lemon butter sauce that tied everything together flawlessly. Sitting over dirty rice with broccolini on the side… every bite was layered, balanced, and straight-up addictive. The Salmon Lafitte was just as impressive—tender, flaky salmon topped with shrimp and that same lemon butter sauce, served with roasted brussels sprouts and herb rice. Clean, flavorful, and cooked exactly right. And let’s talk about the Cowboy Old Fashioned —smooth, strong, and made the way it should be. No shortcuts, just quality. The vibe is upscale but still comfortable—perfect for date night or when you just want to treat yourself to a solid meal. Service was on point, food came out hot, and everything felt intentional from start to finish. If you’re in Sugar Land and haven’t been here yet, fix that. This is one

Our server was amazing and gave great recommendations. We made it just in time to order a few items off the happy hour menu- the oyster, deviled eggs and BBQ shrimp. The oysters were fresh and delicious, the bacon on the deviled eggs yum, and the shrimps were pretty good too. Now, the entree we all got was the salmon over rice with brussel sprouts- the salmon was cooked beautifully, the lemon butter sauce made everything taste so good. It's been a little while since I've been back and it was every bit just as good as it used to be. The atmosphere is nice and slightly dim, great for dates. Afterwards you can even take a stroll through the town center and visit different shops and dessert spots.

What a nice place with great food and atmosphere to set a nice mood. The lobster bisque was a fantastic starter and the follow up with the crab stuffed flounder was delicious. The seafood and sausage gumbo was loaded with flavor and enjoyed immensely. Oysters on the half-shell are always a favorite for my husband and he loved them. A great place for a nice dinner date. Service was fantastic.

Once in the Sugar Land area and craving New Orleans type of meal- this is my go to. Food and atmosphere is great, but service can be better. Will definitely be back.

Sitting outside to eat in December is a dream. Plenty of seating, both outside and inside and free parking in the town center garage. The restaurant runs on the cooler side so bring a sweater. Now for the food! Every course we ordered was absolutely delicious and perfectly portioned. It’s been a while since I went to a restaurant where I enjoyed everything. Started with a dozen oysters and they were not too salty and on the medium size. Also ordered the ahi stack which was also so fresh and out of this world! Main entrees were their famous NOLA based seafood gumbo that comes with sausage, and shrimp and a side of toast, with an order of wedge salad which is always a must for me, and an order of Zydeco chicken for my husband which came with the creamiest sauce ever! We ended the meal with the famous creme brûlée with a touch of raspberry. If this is how NOLA food truly is, I am up for a treat because I have yet to visit!!!! Will definitely be going back to Rouxpour!
